Traditional costumes of the Nahe valley and Hunsrück

The traditional costumes of the Hunsrück and Nahe region would have long since disappeared from our consciousness if there had not been a few initiative groups that could gather enough information from literature and surrounding museums to reconstruct the centuries-old holiday dresses of the region with painstaking detail work. Mrs. Sigrid Theis with her group from Schauren and the local mayor Manfred Ströher did an exemplary job. At least as impressive is the commitment of the Nahe Wine Queen (1988-1989) Margit Klein-Forster from Bretzenheim in the Nahe valley.
